Volunteers keep garden going
Each week a Houlton family contributes an hour to care for the Houlton Elementary School gardens. Master Gardener Sandy Madsen provides guidance and encouragement.

Each week a Houlton family contributes an hour to care for the Houlton Elementary School gardens. Master Gardener Sandy Madsen provides guidance and encouragement.
Madsen meets with Houlton’s Student Garden Club once each week during March through November to help students learn more about planting, weeding, composting, perennials and vegetables.
