Wurm co-medalist at BRC golf opener

Hudson’s Cassie Wurm fired a 9-hole score of 40 to finish in a tie with Rice Lake’s Stephanie Baribeau for medalist honors at the first Big Rivers Conference mini meet at the Hudson golf course Wednesday afternoon.
Hudson tied Rice Lake for second at the 5-team meet with a total team score of 191, 18 strokes behind River Falls’ first place score of 173.
In addition to Wurm’s low round of 40, Hayley Uzpen and Lauren Bergland each carded 50 for the Raiders while Lindsey Frank came in with a 51 and Leisha Cory had a 54.
