Cassie Wurm fired a one-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors and teammate Leisha Cory posted a tenth place score of 49 to lead the Raider girls’ golf team to a second place finish at a 5-team Big Rivers Conference mini-meet last Thursday at the River Falls Golf Club.
Wurm opened with back-to-back birdies before bogeying the third hole. She bounced back to birdie No. 4 but a light drizzle tuned to a steady rain over the final five holes. She went three-over on the fifth and sixth holes before playing the final three holes at even-par.
Cory’s round included a par on the par-3 sixth hole.
Jill Wanner added a round of 52 for the Raiders and Hayley Uzpen carded a 55 to give Hudson a total team score of 193, nine strokes behind first place River Falls. Lindsey Frank finished with a 57 for the Raiders.
Rice Lake was third with 196 followed by Eau Claire Memorial with 199 and Eau Claire North with 201.
