The annual Town of St Joseph Fall Festival is Saturday, Sept.17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the town hall/fire hall grounds. Begun as a neighborhood get-acquainted event to show off the community, the festival has added new events each year. This year's new event is a fire department pancake breakfast being held from 8 to 11 a.m.

The festival is held jointly with Family of Christ Lutheran Church located across the intersection of County E and V in the Town of St Joseph. Both will feature items of interest for all. Trolley rides will be provided between church and town hall, and perhaps further, will be offered.

A bake sale, crafts, garden plants and lunch will be offered at the church. Children's activities such as an inflatable castle and a dunk tank featuring Pastor Mark Schreiber and Town Chair Dan Gavin will be on site. A live auction will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

On the town hall side of the road, Chris Madsen’s draft horses and wagon rides will be featured. A Rolling Hills 4-H petting zoo showing some of the member's animal projects will be on hand, along with other 4-H activities. The event includes a tractor display for the adults. A St. Joe history booth offers a peek at town history and an opportunity to read about early residents of the town. Homestead Parklands, St. Croix County HCE (Homemakers), Master Gardeners, food booths sponsored by local Boy Scouts, and booths from local businesses and game and craft booths will be on site also.

Town officials will be available to discuss issues and answer questions. For further information about the event, contact the Town Hall at (715) 549-6235 or Fami
