Burglars break into Star Prairie BP

The sheriff’s report said sometime between 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 when the convenience store closed and 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, a back wall was peeled. A safe and two cash registers were taken. The intruder cut through plywood in the back of the building, apparently with a reciprocating saw.
No merchandise was taken, and there was no indication how many people were involved in the burglary, said Patrol Captain Jeff Klatt.
The store’s security video camera was also taken and an alarm system at the store was not working, the report said.
