The Raider boys’ soccer team came out on opposite ends of a pair of 3-1 games last week, falling to Big Rivers Conference leader Eau Claire Memorial on Tuesday before defeating Menomonie Thursday.

Hudson, now 2-6-0 in the BRC, visited River Falls (5-4-0) this past Tuesday, Sept. 27 and will host Rice Lake (1-5-2) Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. at the middle school field.

The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Menomonie (4-5-0) last Thursday on their way to a 3-1 win.

Ben Klundt opened the scoring when he connected with a cross from Alex Schnobrich and redirected the ball with a header into the net just over 11 minutes into the game.

Schnobrich followed with an unassisted goal before Menomonie cut the lead to 2-1 at the half. Micah Pederson scored the only goal of the second half to make the final 3-1.

Two days earlier in Eau Claire, the Old Abes (8-0-0) scored in the third minute of the game and added a pair of second half goals before Rocky Harmon’s unassisted goal with just over seven minutes remaining made the final 3-1.
