The third annual First Presbyterian Church Evening of Music and Art is Saturday, Oct. 8, at beginning at 7 p.m.
The event will include performances by five different chamber groups made up of members and friends of First Presbyterian. Among the performers will be students in the music therapy program for students with autism at Willow River Elementary School. The students will perform on handbells.
The evening will also include an exhibition and sale of work by local artists. Refreshments will be served.
The event is free but any donations will go to the Willow River music therapy program. The program, which has been operating at the school for several years, is totally funded by donations. The program is staffed by a music therapist from the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis.
