Women’s event set at Shepherd

Shepherd of the Valley Church, 14107 Hudson Rd. So., in Afton is staging a special women’s event on Nov. 4 and 5 titled: The Fitting Room: Putting on the Character of Christ, which will be led by Kelly Minter, a speaker, recording artist and author of several books.

Minter asks the question, “what does it mean to clothe yourself in virtues like compassion, kindness, patience, peace, forgiveness and more?” Participants are invited to the “fitting room” to try on the virtues of Christ.

Minter stitches together real-life stories with down-to-earth insights, and invites participants to “put on” a life that’s tailored by the Master Designer and experience a spiritual makeover.

The event is Friday, Nov. 4, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The cost is $30 (register by Oct. 15) and $35 after Oct. 15. Registration and information is available at http://www.shepherd-lutheran.org.
