Catherine DeGregorio, 56

Catherine Marie DeGregorio, age 56, of St. Joseph Township, died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 26, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Catherine was born on Aug. 31, 1955, in Staten Island, N.Y., the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Murphy) Monahan. She was raised in New York where she attended school. She furthered her education at Cornell University in animal science. On June 5, 1979, she was united in marriage to Robert Michael DeGregorio. To this union, three children were blessed.

Catherine took the utmost pleasure in tending to her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her husband, children, and her beloved pets and horses.

She will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Robert; children, Teresa DeGregorio of Minneapolis, Sara DeGregorio of Nebraska, Matthew DeGregorio of St. Joseph Township; mother, Elizabeth Monahan of New Jersey; brothers, Michael (Carol) Monahan of New York, Richard (Rose Mary) Monahan of Oregon, Steven (Trisha) Monahan of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Michael Monahan.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. Interment will be private. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the Mass at church on Monday morning. Memorials preferred to Mounds Park Academy.

Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
