The Croix Attack Volleyball club will hold a pre-tryout parents meeting and clinic Nov. 9 before tryouts for the upcoming season are held Nov. 13.
The pre-tryout parents meeting will take place Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Hudson High School cafeteria.
It is very important that first time parents come to the meeting as well as parents that have been in the program. The club will discuss how to register, the try-out format, letter of commitment, fee schedule and payment options, practice schedule and season schedule and spring League opportunities.
A pre-tryout clinic for all elementary school-aged players will take place that same night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the high school’s west gym.
This clinic is not mandatory, but it will give the players an idea of what to expect at the tryout and will help to make them less nervous. There is no cost or sign-up for the clinic.
Croix Attack boys’ and girls’ tryouts will be held Sunday, Nov. 13, in the high school east and west gyms.
The fee for tryouts is $20 if pre-registered or $30 the day of tryouts. The tryout schedule is as follows: ages 16-18, 8-11 a.m.; age 15, 9 a.m.-noon; age 14, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; age 13, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; age 12 and under 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; boys 3:30-6:30 p.m. Participants should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time.
Teams will be formed and players will be notified during the tryout. Players/parents will be asked to sign a USAV letter of commitment before leaving the tryout in order to hold their position. Players that do not sign are not guaranteed the position offered. A parent must be on hand to sign for any player under 18. Go to www.croixattack.org for more details.
