Prospect Park, perched high on a bluff overlooking downtown Hudson and the St. Croix River, is the oldest park in the city and one of its best kept secrets. We think it’s time to breathe new life into this beautiful park with the introduction of a new disc (Frisbee) golf course.
Disc golf is a very popular, inexpensive game that offers sociable fun and good, healthy outdoor exercise for people ages 8 to 80. There are some 3,000 disc golf courses worldwide including ones in Somerset, River Falls and 20 in the Twin Cities (For more information, visit pdga.com).
We have done a preliminary design for the course and would like to walk through it and answer questions to anyone who is interested. Just show up at Prospect Park this coming Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. (It's rain or shine.) Also, we will be presenting the proposal to the Hudson Parks and Recreation Committee at City Hall on Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. Hope to see you soon and let us know if you have any questions.
