REQUEST FOR BIDS
County of St. Croix, Wisconsin, will receive sealed bids for:
ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER
COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT
Until 2:00p.m. local time on December 2, 2011 at the St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin 54016 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after 2:00p.m. will be returned unopened. Bidders are invited to attend.
Bids shall be upon bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked “BID, ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT” with the name and address of the bidder and the date and hour of the opening and addressed to:

The complete bid form shall be without alterations, additions, or erasures. All bids must be on a lump sum basis. St. Croix County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to reject nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
Bidding documents, including the Bid Form, Specifications, and Drawings, will be on file at Franz Reprographics, approximately November 18, 2011. One copy of Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications, for use by Contractors/Suppliers, may be ordered at Franz Reprographics. Mail or drop off a refundable deposit of $20.00 per Contract Document set at Franz Reprographics, 2781 Freeway Boulevard, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, 55430. Phone: 763-503-3401. Make check payable to St. Croix County. The following information must accompany the request: Company name, mailing address, street address, phone, and facsimile numbers.
The project includes: Demolition of existing equipment, purchase and installation of cooling tower system.
The General, Mechanical or Electrical contractors may attend a pre-bid meeting held on Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Croix County Government Center 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin 54016 to allow bidders time to review the site.
The General, Mechanical and Electrical contractors shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the successful installation and operation of five (5) projects of a similar nature, scope and size (the total cost of each of five (5) previous projects shall be within ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid submitted for this project). Contractors shall provide evidence of experience and previous project name, date, nature, scope and size with the bid form.
Each bidder must include in his bid a Cashier’s Check, Bid Bond, or Certified Check equal to 5% of the amount of the proposal payable to St. Croix County covering performance of the Contract.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the St. Croix County.
