Family Fresh in Hudson donated $1,000 to Hudson-based UWEZO International as part of the store’s SOS Program. Local schools, churches and non-profit educational facilities can collect cash register tapes from the store; when the total reaches $150,000 in an allotted time, the organization qualifies for the $1,000 donation.
At last week’s presentation were Family Fresh assistant Store Director Dean Blank, left, and UWEZO’s Andrea Oreso.
UWEZO is a local ministry that reaches out to people struggling with addictions and to their families. The organization also ministers to inmates at St. Croix County Jail through Bible study and a re-entry ministry called What’s Your Plan.
Uwezo’s International ministry, Africa Leadership and Care Ministries, provides leadership training to Christian Leaders in Kenya and other practical support.
