Nona Trealoff Bock’s own personal journey led her around the world and back to her roots.
As a Spring Valley native, Bock, who grew up on a diary farm, longed to head to New York City and the fashion industry after high school. Following her sister’s footsteps she worked a short time for an insurance company, until parents agreed to let her follow her dream. She enrolled in the esteemed the Tobé-Coburn School for Fashion Careers in New York. That launched her on a 15-year career in the upscale fashion industry.
As a result, Trealoff Bock was able to travel the world experiencing different cultures and meeting a diverse assortment of people. All the while, she was aware of another path in the back of her mind.
“I remember being in preschool when a missionary visited,” said Trealoff Bock, “Something rang true even at that early age. It was about helping other people.”
On a visit to Wisconsin, she became re-acquainted with a friend who later became her husband resulting in her returning to the state.
Trealoff Bock’s energy and enthusiasm is unmatched as she describes her journey and accomplishments since she left the fashion industry for a career in healing.
“I have always been fascinated by the depth and breadth of the spiritual realm and human potential,” said Trealoff Bock.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in transpersonal psychology from Burlington College, a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with a concentration in health psychology from University of Wisconsin-Stout, a certification in spiritual direction from the Claritas Institute for Interspiritual Inquiry and a diploma from the Aveda Institute in massage and total body care. Along the new path, she also trained in many mediation practices and studied energetic healing. Trealoff Bock is licensed by the state of Wisconsin as a professional counselor and in massage and bodywork.
Most recently, she worked for the crisis services division of People Incorporated, in St. Paul.
This week, she opens SoulsShine, the Inner Room in Hudson. Located in Dania Hall at 511 Second Street, Suite 108, Trealoff Bock wants people to think of it as a spiritual spa.
Services include spiritual mentoring, life and wellness coaching, bodywork( which includes energetic healing and massage therapy) and John of God crystal healing bed.
Trealoff Bock traveled to Brazil to meet the creator of the crystal healing bed, which features seven Vogel clear-cut quartz crystals.
“Thousands of people travel from all over the world to visit him,” said Trealoff Bock, who is certified to have the only John of God crystal healing bed in the Twin Cities area.
From dressing up the outside of people, while in the fashion industry, Trealoff Bock feels, she is now able to help people heal from the inside.
“Be the light. Be the love. Be the peace. All anyone has is energy,” Trealoff Bock wants to help you channel yours to help with your inner health.
