The annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Chiefs’ Ringing Event on Friday, Dec. 2 netted more than $1,900 for the Hudson area Salvation Army. Participating in the friendly competition at four locations around town were Hudson Police Department Chief Marty Jensen, Hudson Fire Department Chief Jim Frye, EMS Chief Eric Christiansen, and North Hudson Police Department Chief Mark Richert.
After four hours of ringing the individual collections were:
Frye at Fleet Farm, $522.02,
Jensen at Family Fresh, $515.50,
Christiansen at Walmart, $410.57, and
Richert at County Market, $462.56. The grand total raised during their competition was $1,910.90.
