Shooting class scheduled at club

The Hudson Rod Gun & Archery Club, in recognition of the new law changes on Nov. 1, will host an instructional shooting clinic. A couples’ course has been requested by many of the participants who attended the Women On Target program. However all are welcome.

The Hudson Rod Gun & Archery Club, in recognition of the new law changes on Nov. 1, will host an instructional shooting clinic. A couples’ course has been requested by many of the participants who attended the Women On Target program. However all are welcome.

The class consists of two-sessions. The first part of the class is on Tuesday, Dec. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Part two is Thursday Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (The second day will be repeated Saturday, Jan. 14). The clinic features the NRA Basic Pistol Course, training in open carry and beginning holster draw. Participants learn the fundamentals of shooting in a safe, relaxing and fun-filled environment.

The class also satisfies the new Wisconsin Concealed Carry requirements. The cost is $60 per person. To register, contact clinic coordinator Tom Irwin at (715) 222-9822 or irwin.tom@sbcglobal.net.
