Five area companies have teamed up to create a showroom at 529 Second Street, Suite 400. They are bringing their talents together to serve customers in one place. As a customer you can stop by to visit one or all of them depending on what your personal needs are. Any of the companies may be contacted by calling Design Space Partners at (877) 477-1384.

The companies

Bruce Lenzen Design/Build, formed in 2006 to provide custom design and construction for residential and light commercial projects. The owner Bruce Lenzen is a familiar name in the area, having been in construction business for 27 years as well as a River Falls native. Joining Lenzen as a partner is Rich Cooke.

“We serve the entire metro area and specialize in river and waterfront homes,” said Lenzen. You may visit their website at www.brucelenzendesignbuild.com

Carlsgaard Finish Carpentry is a family business that recently built a new workshop in the Hudson area.

“It started as a hobby and I was able to turn my hobby into a business,” said Tom Carlsgaard, a Superior native. “It is all about detail and being price point conscious.” Custom cabinets, custom furniture, finishing trim and millwork — Carlsgaard can do it all including specific and unique hardware for your projects. You may visit their website at www.carlsgaardcarpentry.com.

Advanced Light and Sound, owned by Ross Goulette, can bring any home into today’s high-tech reality.

“We can do new construction, commercial and retrofit existing properties,” said Patrick Martin, ALAS representative. The list of services they provide include remote monitoring, automation, home theaters, light controls, energy management and security systems.

“We can program energy management for seasonal vacation homes,” said Martin, “You can remotely control the heat to save energy and at the same time have it warm before you arrive.”

According to Martin, every day there is something new that makes it easier for a person to integrate the new technology into an existing system.

The price point for systems has dropped considerably with the march towards more and more sophisticated technology. You may visit their website at www.alassite.com

ALL Design Group is owned by Ann Ludwig, a Lakeland native, who currently lives in Hudson. She offers full service interior design for both residential and light commercial projects.

“The most important thing to remember is that no project is too small,” said Ludwig. “From selecting paint to pillows it is all important to the customer.” Ludwig is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and graduated from Dakota County Technical College. Prior to opening the Hudson showroom Ludwig was also working in Edina.

“We believe in each other and in each other’s work,” said Ludwig. “It is ala carte, you can choose to use any one of our businesses or we can work together to create the whole project.”

Her website at www.alldesigngroup.net is currently under construction. She also has a Facebook page/ALL Design Group.

Together, this group of five companies can bring a certain synergy to your project or they can work individually to do something as simple as selecting just the right accent for a room.
