Children’s theater presents ‘Alice’

Alice in Wonderland,” adapted by Brainerd Duffield from Lewis Carroll’s story, with additional music by Alicia Hermsen, will run Feb. 10-26 at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

Alice in Wonderland,” adapted by Brainerd Duffield from Lewis Carroll’s story, with additional music by Alicia Hermsen, will run Feb. 10-26 on Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., as well as Sundays at 2 p.m. at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

The Phipps Children’s Theater production follows Alice and the elusive White Rabbit on a kaleidoscope of adventures in the dream-worlds of Wonderland and Looking Glass Land.

John H. Potter directs a cast of 26 talented area high school students. He and choreographer Christina Leines most recently staged “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” for the center. Hermsen, who is also the music director, most recently staged “The Big Bad Musical” for The Phipps Children’s Theater.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for students 13 and older as well as seniors, and $15 for children 4-12 years old, with a $2 discount for the opening weekend.
