North Hudson prepares for centennial

The village of North Hudson will celebrate 100 years in 2012, with activities being planned for some time in June, probably June 9 and 10.

The village of North Hudson will celebrate 100 years in 2012 with activities being planned for some time in June, probably June 9 and 10.

Mary Wekkin has been in charge of most of the preparations and is currently completing a cookbook that will feature 300-plus recipes, including some of the Pepper Fest winners. The book also has historic photos, stories and history tidbits spread throughout.

The book is currently at the printers and pre-sales are being accepted for $19 per book through Feb. 17. After that date, the cost will be $24.

More centennial celebration details will be released in the weeks and months ahead.
