Create a Mad Hatter tea party and enjoy a cupcake snack after the 2 p.m. matinee performance
Create a Mad Hatter tea party and enjoy a cupcake snack after the 2 p.m. matinee performance of “Alice in Wonderland” on Sunday, Feb. 12, at The Phipps Center for the Arts.
During this hour-long class, from approximately 4 to 5 p.m., parents and children ages 5 and older will make and decorate Mad Hatter hats to wear while enjoying a cupcake snack and juice. Inspired by the “Eat Me/Drink Me” theme in the play, participants also will make jumbo foam cupcakes and large bottles of “juice” to decorate and take home.
Instructor Tim Scanlan combines over 20 years of outdoor education experience with his degree in broad field studies and his jack-of-all-trades skills in his work with Messes & Masterpieces, a non-profit educational organization that holds creative classes and events for children and adults.
