Boat safety courses offered
The Hudson Flotilla of the United State Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a series of public boat safety courses.
The Hudson Flotilla of the United State Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a series of public boat safety courses. About Boating Safety will be on Friday evenings, 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday mornings 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates: April 20 and 21, May 18 and 19, and June 15 and 16
Completion of this eight-hour ABS course satisfies the Wisconsin and Minnesota operator requirements for both boats and personal watercraft. Boat Skills & Seamanship will be on Monday evenings, 6:30 to 9 p.m. for six weeks starting March 5.
Weekend Navigator seminars are scheduled for Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Topics covered include GPS, Paper & Digital chart navigation and an introduction to Marine Radar. All courses are taught at the St. Croix Marina, 16 First St.
