Letter: Corrects letter claim

A recent letter to the editor published in the Hudson Star-Observer was critical of remarks that were made regarding a Green Bay high school by a legislator at a public establishment in Madison last month. The letter included my name as one of the individuals present when these remarks were made. This information is incorrect.

Dear Editor

A recent letter to the editor published in the Hudson Star-Observer was critical of remarks that were made regarding a Green Bay high school by a legislator at a public establishment in Madison last month. The letter included my name as one of the individuals present when these remarks were made. This information is incorrect. I was not present or even in the establishment when this conversation occurred.

While I am used to personal attacks, the rumor spread by this letter is based on false information taken from a liberal blog known for character assassination. The irresponsible use of unsubstantiated rumors posted on blogs by full-time protestors goes beyond the pale.
