Letter: Support Burchill

Dear Editor,

We are writing this letter in support of our current Mayor, Alan Burchill. The decisions made by local government affect the town and people all around us. Mayor Burchill’s success as a businessperson demonstrates his ability to lead our city. He was president of Mid-America bank for 13 years and for the last 20 years has been the owner of St. Croix Valley Insurance. Both of these professions require the trust of his peers. He has managed the finances of families and insured their assets for a combination of 23 years.

Mayor Burchill is a good neighbor and continues his service to the city of Hudson. While raising two children with his wife Jill, he has volunteered and chaired many organizations. He was on the organizing committee and served as committee chair for the YMCA, as well as board chair for the Chamber of Commerce. He was a Hudson Health Foundation Board member and is currently an active member in the Hudson Rotary. He also served on the City Council before being appointed as Hudson’s Mayor.

The city of Hudson needs Mayor Burchill’s continued leadership and dedication. We need common sense leadership by a person who recognizes times are tough, and that keeping a tight budget is crucial while still providing the much needed services that our city requires.

The future of our city with Alan as its leader is bright. Vote Mayor Alan Burchill on April 3.
