Complete Athlete symposium at HHS March 13

The Hudson High School Athletic Department will host “The Complete Athletes” sports symposium in the high school auditorium Tuesday, March 13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The Hudson High School Athletic Department will host “The Complete Athletes” sports symposium in the high school auditorium Tuesday, March 13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The symposium, presented by Larsen Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy/Catalyst, will feature speakers ranging from registered dieticians to sports psychologists and include opening remarks from athletic director Stephanie DeVos and a question and answer session.

All high school and middle school athletes and parents are encouraged to attend.

Featured speakers will include registered dieticians Brian Zehetner and Brooke Schneider, who will discuss the right combination of fuels before, during and after competition. Licensed sports psychologists Dr. Justin Anderson and Dr. Carly Anderson will talk about what it takes to be a winner, not only in competition, but in life, and certified strength conditioning specialists Scott Hintz and Sam Turner will address what it takes to achieve success as an athlete and the kind of determination it takes to reach the top.

Dr. Lincoln Likness will give an overview of the care available to Hudson athletes, from concussion treatments to proper preventive measures than can be taken to minimize the risk of injuries.
