Home Media Innovations stands by their tag line, ‘Taking Pride in what we do.’ Owner William ‘BJ’ Denzer, a 1998 Hudson High School graduate, said his fascination with electronics surfaced early in life and he has been able to make a career out of it.

Home Media Innovations stands by their tag line, ‘Taking Pride in what we do.’ Owner William ‘BJ’ Denzer, a 1998 Hudson High School graduate, went all the way through the Hudson school system beginning with kindergarten.
His fascination with electronics surfaced early in life and he has been able to make a career out of it, including starting his own business in 2008. Starting out at Audio Visual Planners, thirteen years ago, Denzer knew he was in the field for him.
“I love the diversity in all of the other areas,” said Denzer. “It is an ever changing industry. You have to keep up with the new technology.”
Denzer started with nothing when he founded Home Media Innovations in 2008.
“I started at ground zero with nothing,” Denzer, who worked a second job to make ends meet. “All of the financing was personal and I started with just boxes of wire and a strong interest and desire.”
Denzer has built a successful company, with the assistance of soon-to-be partner, Wes Geving, a New Richmond native and resident. Geving started in the industry in 1999 and currently runs the installation department for Home Media Innovations.
They specialize in audio, video, security, central vac, home theater and communications for both commercial and residential clients.
“Security is fast becoming one of our largest segments,” said Geving. “With the technology always changing you have to stay on your toes.” He cited a new garage door, which you can open and close with your smart phone as just one of the many products available.
“I like to challenge my mind with the technology,” said Geving, who father was a software engineer.
With the security segment of the business growing it also helps to know they are offering peace of mind to their customers as well as safety.
“One thing we focus on and a lot of our business is based on is taking care of the customer,” said Denzer. “I think that has been one of our keys to success.”
