Birds bring flocks of people to St. Croix Carpenter Nature Center
It was a busy weekend for the staff and volunteers at St. Croix Carpenter Nature Center. The World Bird Sanctuary, located in St. Louis, brought eight different birds of prey as part of the education event.
It was a busy weekend for the staff and volunteers at St. Croix Carpenter Nature Center. The World Bird Sanctuary, located in St. Louis, brought eight different birds of prey as part of the education event.
The team put on six shows at the Carpenter Nature Center to sold-out crowds totaling 720 people. They also did school program in the Afton/Lakeland on Friday.
The popular event follows an environmental theme with the naturalists, sharing details about each of the eight birds. They included an Egyptian vulture, Augur buzzard, barn owl, Eurasian eagle owl, Australian wedge-tailed eagle, American kestrel, Harris hawk and white-naped raven.
