VILLAGE OF NORTH HUDSON
ORDINANCE NO. 04-2012
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE VILLAGE OF NORTH HUDSON, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of North Hudson wishes to create Chapter 2, Administration, Article I. In General., Section 2-2. Appointed officials., and Article IV. Officers and Employees, Division 3. Village Administrator, Section 2-275. Office created., Section 2-276. Appointment and term of office., Section 2-277., Duties and responsibilities., and 2-278 Supervision and cooperation., of the Village of North Hudson Municipal Code. (Created language is underlined.)
NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees of the Village of North Hudson does ordain as follows:
Section 2-2. Appointed officials.

2-275. Office created.
To provide the Village with a more efficient, effective and responsible government, and to provide for uniform application of policy, under a governmental system of a part-time Village President and Village Board, there is created the office of Village Administrator.
2-276. Appointment and term of office.
(a) The Village Administrator shall be appointed by the Village President, subject to confirmation by the Village Board. The Village Administrator shall be responsible to the Village Board upon such terms and conditions, and for such compensation, as prescribed by the Village Board. The Village Administrator may also be appointed as Clerk and/or Treasurer. The Village Administrator shall serve for an indefinite term.
(b) The Village Administrator shall be an ex officio member of all boards, commissions and committees appointed by the Village President or Village Board pursuant to law, with the right to participate in all deliberations and actions by voice but without vote.
2-277. Duties and responsibilities.
The Village Administrator, subject to the limitations defined in resolutions and ordinances of the Village of North Hudson and Wisconsin State Statutes, shall be the chief administrative officer of the Village, responsible only to the Village President and the Board of Trustees. The Village Administrator shall be responsible for the proper administration of the business affairs of the Village, pursuant to the statutes of the State of Wisconsin, the ordinances of the Village of North Hudson, and the resolutions and directives of the President and Board of Trustees which require administrative implementation, and shall be responsible for the administration of all day-to-day operations of Village government.
2-278. Supervision and cooperation.
Except as otherwise provided by State Statute, the Village Municipal Code, or as otherwise directed by the President or Board of Trustees, all Officers, Department Heads and other employees of the Village shall serve under the supervision and direction of the Village Administrator and shall cooperate with and assist the Village Administrator so that the affairs of the Village will be most economically and efficiently administered.
Adopted by the Village Board this 6th day of March, 2012.
