Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter to you in regards to a Letter to the Editor in the HSO on March 1, 2012, regarding voter fraud in the Wisconsin State Assembly. As Dean Knudson knows, and has stated many times voter fraud is a very serious issue in Wisconsin. I just did not realize he was talking about the State Assembly. I hope Dean, you are aware that we in District 30 did not elect Assemblyman Kleefisch. So I want to know why has he been charged with the duty to represent us, when we clearly did not elect him to do so? I hope Dean, you have a better answer than I did not know he did. Or I asked him to vote for me on that issue. Because clearly the first would be a lie, and second would be wrong to vote when you’re not in chambers. I am sure Dean you would have to agree to that. Dean, do you often have votes cast for you when you are not in chambers doing what District 30 hired you to do?
Also, I completely disagree with Jim Kubiak on the voter ID card for the Assembly as you would just have to give your card to someone else. And we, the taxpayers, would have to hire to many state police to ensure that this kind of behavior does not happen anymore. Thus, the cost to us would be high, and as you know we, the taxpayers, just cannot afford the cost of babysitting our State Assembly. However, I would ask you, Dean, to champion a bill that would install fingerprint ID systems within the Assembly and Senate floors at every seat. And I trust your statements in support of voter ID as a way to root out voter fraud would extend to the Legislature also. I suspect Dean, that if you choose not to do so, you think that voter fraud is acceptable in the Assembly and would seem to be a clear double standard of your thinking in the past on voter ID and fraud. Dean, please show leadership and bring the changes needed to stamp out voter fraud in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Please protect us from others trying to wrongly represent us at the Capitol. And please show up for work sometime and make our voices heard, not Assemblyman Kleefisch’s constituents. Supporting evidence in this video, http://vimeo.com/37352805. I am sure you will see the forethought of voter fingerprint ID as the only way to keep you guys somewhat honest in the Capitol.
