Miss Hudson candidate sign ups begin

Sign-ups for the upcoming Miss Hudson pageant begin March 26. Current sophomores and juniors will be eligible to run for the 2012 Miss Hudson Royalty. Candidates will experience fun events that encourage personal growth, team building and volunteer service opportunities.

Four candidates will be chosen as Miss Hudson Royalty to serve as Goodwill Ambassadors to neighboring communities and participate in local service events. The young women selected to serve in this role, along with their families will participate in more than 30 area parades and the royalty will also participate in more than 20 community service events during the year of their reign.

Scholarships will be dispersed upon completion of their reign and the first semester of post-high school education. Each candidate will receive a scholarship award (currently set at $750) to the school of their choice as a token of appreciation for their dedicated service to the Miss Hudson program and the Hudson Community.

The Miss Hudson Candidate sign-up sheet and informational guide will be posted in the Hudson High School Counselors office beginning March 26 and end on April 15. A parent and candidate mandatory meeting is scheduled April 15. For more information, email misshudson@comcast.net.
