St. Croix Animal Friends host a luau
St. Croix Animal Friends are inviting people to attend a Hawaiian luau on March 31 at the Valley House. The evening will feature a silent auction, raffle, hula contest and music.
When the local animal welfare organization decided to choose a theme for their annual fundraiser they had no idea the temperatures would soar out of winter range right into early summer before they even held their warm weather themed event.
St. Croix Animal Friends are inviting people to attend a Hawaiian luau on March 31 at the Valley House. The evening will feature a silent auction, raffle, hula contest and music. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the dance at 8 p.m.
Special features this year include the River Falls drama group doing scenes from South Pacific and a recent addition — an authentic dance group will perform during dinner.
St. Croix Animal Friends include in their mission the goal to build a Humane Society Adoption and Education Center and as well as provide outreach programs for the animals and their families in the St. Croix County area.
Tickets for the dinner and dance are $25 per person and must be pre-purchased on line or at the Valley House at 1237 Hwy. 35. Tickets for the dance are $10 and may be purchased at the door.
