Hudson-based, online printing company Docucopies.com, recently opened an office in California. Last month the company began leasing a building in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Slated to be up and running by May, the new location is positioned in the middle of the state to provide one-day UPS ground shipping to nearly all of California, which is the company’s biggest state for sales.
“We’re ecstatic about this,” says Marketing Director and Vice President Jeff Corbo. “We’ve wanted to make this happen for a couple years, and to finally see the end of the tunnel is stunning.”
The company, which began in downtown Hudson as Copy Cat, Inc., and once inhabited what is now Agave Kitchen, has gone through many evolutionary cycles since its birth in the 1980s. Now virtually all business is conducted through the website rather than a walk-in storefront.
“We wanted to find a place that’s not just a good match for the business but also somewhere our team members might want to live,” said President/CEO David Pressley, who has overseen every major change in the company since it was founded.
