Beginning band sign up for present fifth-graders

Hudson Middle and High School band directors Ryan McCarthy, Nick Syman, Carl Meincke and Connie Root and their band students recently visited the elementary schools to demonstrate the band instruments to the fifth-graders.

Parents of all fifth-grade students recently received a band packet of important information via email from each elementary school. The band packet is also on each elementary school’s home page.

An informational meeting concerning the beginning band program was held on Monday, March 26. Anyone unable to attend the March 26 meeting must call or email (meinckcr@hudson.k12.wi.us) or call middle school Band Director Carl Meincke at (715) 377-3820 ext. 4175 between March 28 and 30 to schedule an individual conference for the April 2 registration night.

Beginning band registration for all present fifth-graders is Monday, April 2, from 4-8:30 p.m. at the Hudson Middle School. A parent must accompany his or her child to this event. Each child will receive a 15-minute individual conference with a certified music teacher, who will assist each child with the selection of an instrument.
