Sailing classes, races start in May
The St. Croix Sailing Club, based in Hudson, is offering a class to train anyone at least 18 years old who is interested in learning the basics of sailing and crewing on a variety of racing boats.
The St. Croix Sailing Club, based in Hudson, is offering a class to train anyone at least 18 years old who is interested in learning the basics of sailing and crewing on a variety of racing boats. Dates are set for May 19-20 and June 2-3.
Each day of the four-day class, which starts at 9 a.m., includes classroom instruction until noon followed by on-the-water practice until 4 p.m. Class sessions are held at the St. Croix Marina in Hudson. A full annual membership in the St. Croix Sailing Club, picnic lunches, and an instructional handbook are included in the $210 course fee.

The New Crew class has openings for up to 12 students.
