A community we are proud to share
Set on the banks of the St. Croix River, Hudson invites you to enjoy the beauty and amenities of a quaint river town built on rich history. Hudson is the Western Gateway into Wisconsin and is one of the fastest growing cities in the state.
Hudson has everything going for it – a dynamic business environment, a vibrant historic downtown with awarding winning restaurants and unique boutiques and art galleries, great schools and healthcare campus.
We invite you to enjoy Hudson’s many parks. Lakefront Park along the St. Croix River is host to several events and celebrations in addition to free concerts during the summer months. Walk under the historic Hudson Arch that was once the old toll bridge river crossing and enjoy the beach, fishing or a cruise on the Grand Duchess boat. Also downtown is home to the Phipps Center for the Arts that offers a year–round calendar of theater, concerts and art exhibitions. Ask about our historic walking tour that features historic buildings downtown and includes the Octagon House Museum located on Third Street. Hudson is also home of Willow River State Park, many beautiful golf courses and a heritage that is treasured and maintained in its historic buildings and homes.
The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau is your best source for information about the Hudson area. Our office located downtown at 502 Second Street and has local tourism and business information in addition to Wisconsin tourism information. The Hudson Chamber has over 585 business members with an 11 member Board of Directors and many committees. The Chamber sponsors business and tourism events that promote and feature our business community and shop local initiatives.
We invite you to share in the annual celebrations including the Hot Air Affair, Spring Showcase Trade Show, Booster Days, the North Hudson Pepper Festival, Spirit of the St. Croix Art Festival, the Christmas Tour of Homes and Celebrate the Holiday’s in Hudson events. Go to http;//www.hudsonwi.org for a list of all events.
Like the Hudson area, the Chamber has experienced growth in recent years. The Chamber’s mission is “Serve and inform the membership by promoting a strong local economy, advocating business interests, and supporting recreational and cultural opportunities”.
The Chamber and Tourism Bureau staff includes President, Kim Heinemann, Director of Communications and Programs, Andrea Jorgenson, Director of Finance, Jane Leaf, Membership and Programs Assistant, Vanessa LaFleur and Tourism and Special Projects Assistant, Mary Weller.
