Sustain Hudson – a non-profit organization promoting economic, social and environmental health in the community – partnered with local schools and businesses to organize the project.
Stewart Erickson, president of Sustain Hudson, and Katie Bloome of YMCA Camp St. Croix teamed up with a group of high school students (teacher Patty Mueller’s Green Team) to collect and distribute the artwork to cooperating businesses.
Bridget Baumann at E.P. Rock Elementary, Ann Mitchell at Houlton Elementary and Cindy Landers at Hudson Middle School coordinated the effort in the schools.
“The sponsorship response from local businesses for this fifth annual event has been fantastic,” Erickson said. “And, of course, the biggest thanks goes to the students who created imaginative and colorful artwork.”
