PUBLIC NOTICE
UNITED GEAR & ASSEMBLY, INC. PROJECT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 23rd day of April, 2012, the City of Hudson, Wisconsin (the “City”) adopted an initial Resolution in which it expressed its intention, subject to the conditions stated therein, to issue up to $10,000,000 of tax-exempt Industrial Development Revenue Bonds or, in the alternative, a single Note (the “Bonds”) to finance the construction and equipping of an expansion of the existing United Gear & Assembly, Inc. facilities located at 1700 Livingston Road and 1401 Industrial Street in Hudson (the “Project”), to be owned and operated by United Gear & Assembly, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”). The Bonds will not constitute nor give rise to a pecuniary liability of the City nor are they a charge against its general credit or taxing powers, but shall be paid from sums payable by the Company pursuant to a revenue agreement.
The Bonds proposed to be issued pursuant to the initial Resolution may be issued without approval of the electors of the City unless within thirty (30) days after the publication of this notice, a petition signed by not less than 5% of the registered voters of the City is filed with the City Clerk requesting a referendum on the issuance of the Bonds.
