Hudson will be celebrating 100 years of the Yellowstone Trail May 11-13 during the Yellowstone Trail Heritage Days.

The Yellowstone Trail (1912-1930) ran through Hudson and many other area communities. The route covered 3,600 miles and was advertised as “A Good Road from Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound.”

The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is partnering with local and regional community organizations to celebrate Hudson’s presence on the trail. Yellowstone Trail Heritage Days offers a weekend of fun, with activities scheduled to appeal to a range of interests and ages.

Many of the activities are scheduled Saturday, but a number of events are also scheduled Friday night and Sunday. See the Yellowstone Trail insert in this week’s Star-Observer for a complete schedule of activities.
