Letter: Recommends "common sense" to voters

Dear Editor,
It is outrageous that Democrats who were in the race for governor cannot provide the voters of Wisconsin any specific plans for how they would manage the state’s budget if elected.
They apparently intend to keep this secret until after the election or maybe they don’t have a plan. The only idea Falk and Barrett can offer voters is that they will raise taxes on anyone and everyone to reinstate some of the spending cuts Walker has made.
A few months ago, four (other) Wisconsin public school unions jointly issued a letter imploring the Milwaukee teachers union not to seek relief but to instead tough it out and endure the devastation rather than admit Gov. Walker’s plan is working. The essence of the letter was to hell with the kids, the teachers, the parents and the taxpayers! We can’t admit Act 10 is working, and recall politics must take priority over educating our kids!
The mining company that wanted to invest $1.5 billion of its own money and create thousands of high-paying jobs across Wisconsin has pulled its permits and demanded its deposit money back. Why? Wisconsin Democrats shot them down! They don’t want the voters to know Walker is doing his job, and you will continue to hear them criticize Walker for not creating enough new jobs in Wisconsin!
The Wisconsin Legislature passed a budget repair bill over a year ago that closed a $3.6 billion deficit without layoffs, service cuts or tax increases, and Gov. Walker signed it. In 49 other states that achievement would get you a parade; in Wisconsin, it gets you recalled.
