Some damage has been reported under Prairie Meadows Drive that has come from utility boring under the road, reported town of Hudson Chair Jeff Johnson during his monthly road report at the May 1 Town Board meeting.
Johnson also reported that the county Highway Department will investigate the damage to see what caused it.
He noted that pocket gophers are also causing damage reported within the town. He suggested instituting a bounty program on the gophers but to do that, the town would need to pass a new ordinance.
Currently, the town is waiting for the Wisconsin Towns Association to send a sample ordinance to the Board of Review before moving forward.
