One injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-94
A white four-door sedan was off the shoulder of the freeway with a damaged right fender and buckled hood. It appeared that an airbag in the steering wheel had deployed.
A multi-vehicle accident Thursday morning on westbound I-94 just up the hill from the St. Croix River bridge resulted in one injury, according to police radio reports.
The accident happened shortly after 9 a.m. and briefly slowed traffic on the freeway’s westbound lanes.
One person suffered a hand injury, a St. Croix County emergency dispatcher reported.
It appeared that two or three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Another car was off the highway just west of the damaged car. It wasn’t clear if it had been involved in the crash, or belonged to someone who stopped to help.
Several hundred feet to the east, a lawn service pickup truck pulling a trailer was parked along the freeway. The trailer was unhitched from the truck and the left trailer tire was flat.
A St. Croix EMS paramedic and a St. Croix EMS ambulance crew responded to the crash.
