A 17-year-old male was taken into custody late Saturday afternoon but not before he allegedly trespassed, broke a door window and stole a car—all without a stitch of clothing on.

According to North Hudson Police, around 4 p.m. on Saturday, residents in the 900, 1000 and 1100 blocks of St. Croix Street N. and the 300 block of Oakridge Drive N. were outside enjoying the warm weather when they encountered the naked teen running up and down the street creating a disturbance.

According to statements taken at the scene, the teen entered two homes without permission and jumped through a closed window at 1024 St. Croix St. N., breaking the glass and exterior screen. He then ran westbound on St. Croix Street. N., and interacted with several residents. He then entered a vehicle parked on the street facing eastbound, which had been left running with the door standing open as the owner dropped off an item inside his residence. The owner of the vehicle attempted to stop the suspect from taking his car by standing in front of the vehicle, but the naked teen revved the engine and nearly ran him down as he sped eastbound on St. Croix Street. N. The vehicle came to rest in the yard at 322 Oakridge Drive. N. The suspect then fled the vehicle and entered the home at 318 Oakridge Drive. N.

Law enforcement officers from the North Hudson Police Department, Hudson Police Department and St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department set up a perimeter around the residence. At approximately 4:20 p.m. the teen exited the rear of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

He was transported by ambulance to the Hudson Medical Center for evaluation and treatment for multiple lacerations. Charges have been forwarded to the St. Croix County District Attorney’s office.

The North Hudson Police Department was assisted during the incident by the Hudson Police Department and the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department.
