School district staff honored, four will retire

The annual Hudson School District staff recognition banquet was held May 9 at the Hudson Golf Club. Staff members celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years were acknowledged.

The annual Hudson School District staff recognition banquet was held May 9 at the Hudson Golf Club. Staff members celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years were acknowledged. The four retirees including Rebecca Fowler, 16 years in the district, Carl Meincke, 37 years in the district, Patricia Sandom, 23 years in the district and Richard Schulz, 16 years in the district, were featured on a slide show.

Nancy Sweet welcomed all and shared some humorous tidbits from the past about 37 year veteran of the district, Carl Meincke, who is retiring this year. Superintendent Mary Bowen-Eggebraaten introduced the board of education and commented on the extraordinary staff members who have hundreds of years of combined service in education. All together 1,205 years of experience in the Hudson District were represented by those acknowledged. The four retirees added another 92 years within the district.
