Haley Alger, left, and Sarah Bauer from Girl Scout Troop 52381 received their Girl Scout Gold Awards at a recognition ceremony at Ted Mann Concert Hall at U of M. Nationally, only 5 percent of Girl Scouts earn this prestigious honor. The Gold Award allows a girl to demonstrate her leadership skills, communication skills, and organizational skills. She must address a specific need in her community and use her leadership skills to create a positive change. Haley completed a project at Gillette Children's Hospital called "Cozy Care Packages and the Comfort Cart". Sarah’s project was building benches for the Hudson High School Forest.
