St. Croix County names finance director

The search has ended for a new St. Croix County Finance Director.

Administrator Pat Thompson has selected Tabatha Hansen of Black River Falls to fill the position vacated by the resignation of Michelle Pietrick in March.

Hansen was named at the Administration Committee meeting last week. She will take over the position July 9th pending approval of the board of supervisors at their next regular meeting at 6 p.m. June 5 in the government center.

Hansen has held positions in Jackson County and La Crosse County, has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from UW-Eau Claire and has eight years of experience in planning, preparing and presenting budgets, according to biographical information submitted to the administrator’s office.

The administrator has also recommended internal promotions to be considered by the board. Assistant Corporation Counsel Don Gillen will take over as corporation counsel filling an opening created when Greg Timmerman resigned in November.

Senior Planner Ellen Denzer will assume the responsibilities of planning and zoning director filling the position vacated by the retirement of Dave Fodroczi in November.
