Joy, Richard and Ryan Rambo recently swam at the Shark Spring Conference swim meet in Farmington, Minn.

Joy, a fourth-grade student at Houlton Elementary, began swimming last year with Hudson Area Swim Association (HASA). At the Farmington meet, she swam the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard backstroke. She placed sixth overall in her 100-yard freestyle and achieved a personal best time in the event.

Her brothers Richard (fifth grade) and Ryan (first grade) began swimming with HASA this year. The Farmington meet was their first swim meet, and they each had a very successful meet.

Ryan swam the 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard breaststroke, and he placed in the stop sixteen in the 50-yard breaststroke. Richard also swam the 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard breaststroke, and he placed in the top sixteen in all of his events.

HASA is a competitive swim team that trains year round at the Hudson Middle School and competes throughout Minnesota. Registration for the summer session is now open. The summer session will begin June 12 and run through the end of July. More information about the team can be found at www.hudsonswimteam.org.
