Letter: No need for recall

Dear Editor,

It’s time to stop the recall nonsense.

If decisions by elected officials turn out to be poor ones, regular elections offer ample opportunity to replace them. Short-circuiting that process is counter-productive at best, and borderline juvenile. June 5 brings a chance for independents, Republicans and conscientious Democrats to join together to send a clear signal that rational Wisconsin residents are fed up with these political antics.

Let Governor Walker and Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch finish out their current terms. They’ll be fair enough game for judgment when the regular election comes around.
