Letter: Barrett is best choice for hunters

Deer Hunting is a great equalizer in Wisconsin. Tom Barrett celebrates this fact. Sharing public land and public herds is a tradition which is sacrosanct to Barrett. Most families have a tradition of one or two hunters who stock the freezer with venison for the year. For many of them this is a welcome relief to the food budget.

Tom Barrett understands that too and will preserve our resources and traditions to ensure our right to hunt for the next generation. Barrett opposes selling Wisconsin land, our collective land, to corporate interests which want to rent the right to hunt them to the highest bidder. That is how it is done in Texas, and what is being studied right now in Madison. Voting for Barrett is voting to preserve the deer hunt we love.
