Work is now underway to make improvements to the entrance and exit ramps at the intersection of I-94 and Hwy. 65.
Work began April 23 on a two year, two mile project that includes a new interchange, which will include roundabouts. The first phase which is expected to be completed by November will include the complete rebuilding of a two mile stretch of both east- and westbound I-94 on both sides of the new interchange. The second phase, scheduled for completion in October of 2013, will include two roundabouts similar to the ones at Hanley Road and Hwy 35. According Mohamed Mounir, project manager for the I-94 work, everything is on schedule at the present time.
A second and separate Wisconsin DOT project, which is underway at this time, includes the construction of four additional roundabouts on Hwy. 65 between River Falls and New Richmond. Two of them are also located in Roberts.
