Denzer named Community Development Director

Ellen Denzer was approved by the St. Croix County Board for the position of Community Development Director.

Denzer, who has worked with both the Star-Observer and the River Falls Journal, graduated from The University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1985. She began working with the county’s planning and zoning department in 1988 where she started as an assistant planner.

Denzer was promoted to planner in 1990, a position she held for sixteen years until she became a senior planner in 2006. She has totaled 24 years of experience with the county.

The board also approved Don Gillen for Corporation Counsel and Tabatha Hansen for the position of finance director. All three appointments were approved by a vote of 16-1.
