Due to a growth in school age care and communications, the school board decided at their monthly meeting on June 12th to restructure four positions, while adding a completely new one.

All of the positions being restructured are funded through user fees and not tax dollars.

The moves involved cutting funds and responsibilities from the positions of School Age Coordinator, School Age Secretarial Assistant, and Athletics/ Activities Secretarial Assistant, while increasing responsibilities and funds for the position of Communications Coordinator and adding the position of Community Education Program Specialist.

The position of Communications Coordinator is growing as the district has received a plethora of positive feedback from the community and expectations have increased.

School Superintendent Mary Ellen-Eggebraaten said of the position, “(Current Coordinator Tracy Hablisch-Ahlin) is implementing a communications plan and doing an excellent job. People in the community have commented about the increase in communication, how much more they know about this and what’s happening.”
